Country Regulations
Traveling Internationally?

It's important to recognize that each country has it's own regulations and if you are not in compliance with these regulations your dog may be refused entry upon arrival and returned to the originating country, or may be put in quarantine upon arrival.  Sometimes quarantine can be as long as 3 to 6 months depending on the country you enter.

Direct Release Programs or Quarantine?
Many countries have direct release programs but in order to qualify for these programs you will need to start preparing at least 6 months prior to travel. If your dog does not meet the requirements for the direct release program they can be refused entry and returned back to the originating country, or put into quarantine for up to 90 days or more depending on the country you travel to.  Some countries do not have direct release programs and before traveling with your dog you want to double check. Nobody wants to travel on vacation somewhere and have their dog stay in quarantine the whole time!
