Relocating or Traveling to Hawaii

If you are relocating or traveling to Hawaii with your pets, you have come to the right place!  Dogtravel Company is the only members only travel club that allows you and your pup to travel to Hawaii side by side.
Dogtravel Company - Hawaii Travel
Your pup will NEVER see the inside of a cargo hold!  They will never be subject to extreme changes in temperatures, they will never be subject to the loud noise, darkness, or noxious jet fuel fumes that woft into the cargo hold.  They won't be subject to air pressure changes required to keep the plane in the air!  Ever open your suitcase after you retrieved it off the baggage carousel, only to find that your lotion or shampoo has exploded all over the inside of your luggage?  The airlines say the cargo hold is pressurized, and most are, but they don't mention that the pressure needs to be changed to keep the plane in the air!

What are the health requirements for our pet if we are traveling to Hawaii?
If you are planning a trip to Hawaii with your pet please carefully read the following information about Hawaii's Quarantine Laws.  Hawaii is a rabies free state and they have very strict requirements for bringing pets into Hawaii.  If you have any questions about your dog's entry to Hawaii you can contact the State of Hawaii's Department of Agriculture's Animal Quarantine Station at:  (808) 483-7151  or by email at rabiesfree@hawaii.gov  or through their website  or review their Frequently Asked Questions

In addition to having a dog, I also have a cat and we are relocating to Hawaii.  Can I travel with my cat with Dogtravel Company?
Dogtravel Company may grant special permission to families relocating to or from Hawaii who have cats.  If permission is given, the cat must remain in a carrier at all times, and must travel under the seat in front of the owner. Owners must realize that they are putting a cat on a plane potentially full of dogs. Some of these dogs may never have been around cats before and may be curious or not so "cat savvy".  This may cause additional stress to your cat.

How many pets can I travel with?
Human passengers traveling with Dogtravel Company are allowed to bring no more than 2 pets per human.  We are going on the assumption that you have 2 hands - one per leash (or in special circumstances 1 leash and 1 carrier per hand). All pets must remain under their owners control all all times.  This means that dogs must remain on leash and attached to their owners throughout the travel process, unless safety harnessed into their seat on the airplane.

I have a dog (or cat) with a smushed nose / short nose (boxer, bull dog, pug, lhaso apso, pekinise, chin, chow chow, etc), are there any dangers with flying with my pet?
Dogtravel Company requires all dogs (and cats) to have a completed health certificate prior to traveling.  If you have a bracycephalic pet (dog or cat), your pet is at greater risk to heat stroke, or respiratory problems.  Find out more about Bracycephalic dogs by clicking here.  Dogtravel Company recommends you speak with your vet about your bracycephalic pet and get the ok from your vet that your pet is healthy to travel by air.

We are relocating to Hawaii.  Does Dogtravel Company offer one-way flights?
Yes if you are flying one way we can arrange a one way or two way flight for you and your party.

How much does it cost to fly to Hawaii with Dogtravel Company?
The answer to this question is "It depends". As a travel club we can provide our members with a variety of opportunities, from first class star treatment to coach-class travel.  All travel is custom built and quoted to the requirements of each member's request. We can accommodate groups as small as 4 passengers on a private plane, on up to larger groups of up to 125+ passengers.

As with commercial airlines, pricing is dependent on fuel costs, as well as departure and arrival airports, and on-board services that members request.  To give you an example of past pricing, one-way fares to or from Hawaii have ranged from $3500 to $12,000 per passenger.  Fares are all-inclusive of all taxes, fees, FET, snacks, meals, and beverages.
