Yes! Absolutely!  We are the only travel club that exclusively arranges dog friendly travel by land, air, rail, and sea.  No matter how you travel, no matter the size of your dog, your canine companion will be right next to you. On planes, trains and even ships (Europe only) your pup will get his or her own seat and will have his or her very own special safety harness to keep them safe and secure while traveling on Dogtravel Flights or Trains.

Yes!!!  DogTravel Company is the first full service travel club and currently the only travel company offering in-cabin crateless flights for dog-lovers and their dogs, as well as dog-friendly train service, and cruises. Dogs will always travel by your side and never travel in a cargo hold, on a cargo plane, train, ship or truck.  We understand that your pup is an important part of your family and deserves to be treated like one, and included in your travel plans as a part of your family, and not your luggage.

Of course!  We partner with a number of international & national hotel chains, independent hotels, Inns, Bed and Breakfasts, and Vacation Rentals.  Members get discounted rates that can't be found anywhere else! Your member services concierge can help you book your stay or you can book your own accommodations directly through the Dog-Friendly Business Directory in the member services portal. (Coming Soon!)

We sure can!  Our Member Services Concierge team can help you book a dog-friendly RV, auto rental, or help you plot out your trip and find dog-friendly accommodations along the way.  We can also help you come up with ideas for a dog-friendly vacation that include dog-friendly activities, sights-seeing, and dog-friendly food establishments in some locations.

Once you have joined and become a member, you have access to the DogTravel Company Members-Only Portal and the Member Services Office, and your own Member Services Specialist.  Through these avenues you can build your customized travel arrangement, request quotes, and book available your dog friendly travel. Your DogTravel concierge will help you build your travel regardless of how you want to travel, by air, sea, car, RV, bus, or rail.  Our concierges are skill in arranging private, independent, and group travel itineraries, anywhere you want to go in the world. All travelers must be DogTravel members and rest assured, all of our travel is 100% dog friendly. Your dog will NEVER travel in cargo, and unlike other pet-friendly travel services, DogTravel never uses cargo planes, trains, or trucks.   In fact, your dog will be by your side during your entire trip (except for a short visit with TSA agents when going through security before flights and train service).  Your dog will remain in your care throughout your travels with DogTravel.

On flights your dog will be sitting in the seat right next to you, secured with his or her own specialized DTC approved safety belt.  They will also enjoy their very own snack, meal, and in-flight beverage services, and on some flights they may also have their very own in-flight service!

On trains your dog will travel right next to you, whether you are mingling with other passengers on the coach or lounge cars, enjoying a meal in the dining car, taking a nap in one of the sleeper cars, or romping with the other dogs in a grass filled "play car". 

Our vacation packages will include your dog in all aspects of your trip. Our concierge service can help you find dog-friendly eating establishments, as well as dog-friendly tourist sites, events, and parks.  

You can book your stay at one of our dog friendly partner hotels, resorts, B&Bs or vacation rental homes, and secure a car with one of our dog friendly partner auto-rental agencies.

A basic annual membership is just $29.99.  Your membership annual dues give you access to the Members-Only Portal  and the Member Services Office where you can request quotes, and book all travel options including flights, trains, cruises (europe), hotels, vacation packages, and car rentals.  Your Member Services Concierge can help you arrange driving vacations too!  You'll have access to the Dogtravel Company travel store.  Members also can take advantage of specials, tips, and information provided in the Dogtraveler Newsletter.

 As often as our members want them to be.   We are not an airline, so we don't provide regularly scheduled travel, however, all travel arranged through the DogTravel Travel Club is member driven and on-demand.  We can arrange travel when ever and how ever you need it.  Do you need to travel tomorrow? Do you need to travel in 6 months from now?  No problem!  We can help you arrange it.

Whether you are traveling privately or with a group, when you book your travel, just let your Dogtravel Member Concierge know the date & time you want to depart, the date and time you want to return, the locations you want to depart from and return to, and the total # of passengers in your party.   Your first class flight or train travel is customized to your or your party's needs.

DogTravel can provide members with dog friendly travel between any 2 cities in the world. If you are flying, we just need to make sure there are airports where you want to go,  Train service is limited to where the train tracks go!

DogTravel Company is a lot of things, but we are not an airline and we are not a trainline.  We are a travel club and we help our members arrange dog friendly travel, by land, rail, sea, and air for our members.

DogTravel Company does not use commercial airlines or trainlines at this time.   Like you, we were hard pressed to find a commercial airline that would allow a 110lb Great Dane in the cabin of the plane.   This is why we started the DogTravel Company & the DogTravel Club.   All of our flights (and train service) are private DogTravel charters made available only to our members. DogTravel cruises are offered exclusively to our members on private DogTravel charters as well as on an exclusive commercial cruiseline.

Absolutely!   The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Department of Transportation (DOT) have very strict regulations and certifications that all aircraft and pilots must follow.   Flights available to DogTravel Club members are no exception.   In fact Dogtravel Club flights go above and beyond the government requirements and the operators we use are all ARG/US certified, having successfully completed the ARG/US Audit process.  

Do we have to go through Security and do the same rules apply about liquids on board apply? 'width' is a duplicate attribute name. Line 1, position 37.

Yes.   All flight passengers are required to go through TSA Security screens just like any other passenger.   More often than not these security screenings are done in an area away from the main security area of the airport. Often they are done near baggage claim or in a private terminal area.   During this time your dog will be lead about 10 feet away from you so that the TSA agents can pat your dog down and check your dog with the wand.   They may also want to walk your dog through an x-ray machine.   Please be aware that your dog must be well behaved during this process or they will not be allowed to fly in the cabin of the plane. Please review the DogTravel Company Rules & Regulations . Also please bear in mind that all passengers, even DogTravel Club Members, must comply with TSA guidelines .   You are not allowed to bring on any more than 3oz of any liquid into the cabin of the plane.   Beverages will be provided for you and your pup(s) on board.

Unfortunately this is not a simple answer.   Since all travel is custom built based on each member's requirements, pricing can vary significantly.  There are a number of variables that get factored in the determination of the cost of your travel. Flight and Rail service is all first class travel. Land packages are customized to any budget.  ALL pricing is inclusive of all taxes, fees, snack, meal, and beverage services.

For flight service variables include fuel charges, airport fees, size and type of aircraft needed/ requested, duration of your trip, if it's a one-way or roundtrip flight, catering requested, onboard amenities and size of your group traveling. Pricing also is dependent upon whether you want to travel with your own group or party or if you want to open your travel up to other members to ride-share and share the cost of travel.

Train service variables include duration of travel, if it's a one-way or round trip, and number of passengers. All train service includes a first class gourmet chef, and buttler on board. All snack, meal, and beverage services are included in your fare as well as all fees and taxes. 

If you have a large group traveling with you, your trip will be more cost effective. Although there are many members who prefer to travel on their own or with their own private parties, there are also a number of members who prefer to open their travel plans up to other members groups and effectively “ride share” to help keep costs as low as possible.

As an example, a full DogTravel Member Group Flight (175 passengers) on a Boeing 737 from Los Angeles to New York City round trip can run as low as $789/passenger ($394.50 each way) , where we have had members travel privately with their own party of 8 (and private catering) where that same flight from the same airports cost $7500/ passenger ($3750 each way) .  

As another example, a full DogTravel Member group Flight (175 passengers) on a Boeing 737 from New York City to Miami round trip can run as low as $651/ passenger ($325 each way) , where that same flight on a 6 passenger flight from the same airports can run upwards from $4600 ($2300 each way).

Is there a limit to how many dogs I can travel with?  'width' is a duplicate attribute name. Line 1, position 37.

Since most of us of us only have 2 hands, and owners must maintain complete control over their dogs at all times while taking part on any Dogtravel flights or train travel, we've limited the number of dogs a member can travel with at any one time, to just 2 dogs, one for each hand.  For members who have more than 2 dogs, like our founder, we suggest travelling with a companion. Another option members have is to hire a Dogtravel Dog Nanny to travel with you and help care for your additional pups. 


Can you arrange travel for Dog Clubs? 'width' is a duplicate attribute name. Line 1, position 37.

Absolutely!   We can assist in arranging travel by air or train for dog clubs, just let us know the total number of passengers traveling and your departure point, arrival point and departure and return dates and we’ll take care of the rest! 

We arrange travel to annual reunions for dog club groups, members traveling & competing in AKC events,  USAAD events, national dog club conferences, online social networking group meetings for dog lovers, and family reunions. 


If we are traveling to Hawaii with Dogtravel Company, are our dogs allowed to travel in the cabin of the plane? 'width' is a duplicate attribute name. Line 1, position 37.
Yes! Of course they are!   However, once you land you and your dog will immediately meet with one of the Hawaii State Inspectors. It is absolutely imperative that you have reviewed and follow the Hawaii Animal Quarantine Laws to a “T” or your dog will have to remain in quarantine at the Airport for up to 4 months. Information about the Hawaii Quarantine Laws and Direct Release programs can be found at http://hawaii.gov/hdoa/ai/aqs/info .   If you are relocating to Hawaii we also encourage you to call the State Quarantine Office ahead of time and ask one of the representatives for assistance in preparing or reviewing your paperwork to make sure you have it in order. Your paperwork must be submitted well in advance of your arrival in Hawaii.  It is solely the member’s responsibility to ensure that their dog is in complete compliance with all of the Hawaii laws and regulations for direct release. Please review the State's "Checklist for 5-day-or-less Program".

Under very special circumstances, Dogtravel reserves the right to permit pets other than Dogs on Dogtravel flights or trains.

Dogtravel Company has received a number of requests to provide travel by ship to Hawaii. We are currently researching if this is an option with the State of Hawaii.   Stay tuned!
